FISE was running a programme entitled 'Summer Work Placement' for young people aged between 14 and 15 from the region of Ketrzyn, during the summer holiday 2004.
Eighteen children was taking part in one or two-week long work placements in tourist organisations, including the local museum, castle, hotel and stud farm. The aim of the programme was to give young people the chance to develop some transferable skills, to find out what is involved in working for an organisation, and to learn more about tourism in their region.
The programme was being run in co-operation with the Tourist Information Centre in Ketrzyn and the Town Council.
